Racisce is located on the southern coast of the cove bearing the same name. West of it are nice coves called Vaja and Samograd, with ideal beaches. In the cove of Samograd is the cave in which prehistoric artefacts have been found. Very pleasant is the walk from Racisce to the picturesque village of Pupnat in the interior of the island.

Traditional feasts include Our Lady of Perpetual Help (24th of May) and the Assumption of Our Lady (15th of August).

RACISCE, a village and small harbour on the northern coast of the island of Korcula, 12 km west of the town of Korcula; population 456. Chief occupations are farming, livestock breeding, fishing and tourism. Racisce is located on a local road.

The village was populated in the second half of the 17th century, after the Candian war, mostly by the refugees from the Makarska littoral, and around 1730 by the people from southern Herzegovina. Until the beginning of the 20th century Racisce had a large number of sailing ships. In the middle of the village is the parish church of St. Nicholas, dating back to the Baroque time.
